SOUL LIBERATION OUTREACH FOUNDATION
(AN AFFILIATE OF MEGA FAITH KINGDOM MINISTRY)
FOUNDER: REV. J.O UDEH AND REV. MRS H.UDEH
Aims and Objectives
The Soul Liberation Outreach Foundation is a charity and non-profit making and non- governmental organization. It is affiliated to Mega Faith Kingdom Ministry, and its basic aim is to spread the gospel through taking care of the needy and the hopeless in the society.
The Charity was established to serve the following objectives:
- To spread the gospel among the poor and the oppressed in the society.
- To advance public education of the word of God by provision of in-depth teaching of the word among those that were neglected in the society.
- To provide hope to the hopeless, to provide shelter to the homeless, to provide food for the hungry and to clothe those that are naked.
In the furtherance of these, the Charity:
- Offers teachings and messages of liberation and to take it to their homes, huts and villages.
- Identified the hopeless in the society and provide succor to them.
- Provide food for the scavenger, home for the destitute and clothe for the naked for the sole aim of helping them.
- Identify the displaced people either by natural disaster or for whatever reason and meet their needs.
- Reduce the ills of illiteracy in the society by the provision of schools and self empowerment trainings in the local communities.
- Provide self empowerment training for the jobless and help them set up a small scale business.
Our vision:
is to reach out to the poor and those neglected in our rural communities with the message of liberation and of the good news of our lord Jesus Christ through our charity works.
Our mission:
is to liberate souls that had been held captive, to spread the light of God, and to extend the love of God to those that had been neglected in the communities for no fault of theirs.
Our operation
Is carried out by volunteers from the Church. They move from one rural community to the other, evangelizing and making donations to the poor.
Our provision:
God is the ultimate provider. He uses members of Battle axe fire and liberation Ministry to make donations both in kind and in cash.
We also implore other charity organizations, churches and individual to partner with us and donate gifts and materials to us so that we can continue with this charity work as what we get from church is no longer enough.
Our activities:
Since 2005, Battle Axe and fire Liberation Ministry had started their charity work by visiting Hospitals, prisons and orphanages, sharing the word of God, healing the sick and providing welfare materials like food stuff, clothes and other basic needs for the inmates.
With the setting up of Soul Liberation outreach, we extended our charity work to remote areas, farm settlements and particularly, the neglected and outcasts. It is our calling to make sure the good news is spread all over the world and all people in the nation regardless of neither their social status nor their health condition. Our master’s instruction is to reach out to the poor and that is exactly what we are doing.
In the course of our missionary/charity work is our visit to the leprosy settlements at Oyi River in Enugu State.
VISIT TO THE LEPROSY CAMP:
Oyi river is the popular name for the bridge that links Anambra and Enugu State. At the entrance of enugu state is the leprosy settlements where people that suffer from the dreaded disease (leprosy) are camped.
These set of people are called the outcast because they are not allowed entering any community where normal people are living. They are not allowed to mix or relate with the society in any way. Due to their health condition, they are isolated from the people.
These lepers are left to the mercy of nature to survive. They cannot buy nor sell nor do any kind of work that will serve as source of income, neither is the government responsible to them in any way, so their only option is begging on the highway.
When volunteers of Soul Liberation outreach got to the camp, we discovered that not only are these people neglected by the society, they are also exposed to unnecessary danger as most of them had lost their lives to hit and run drivers while trying to beg for alms on the high way, while others lost their lives to snake bites, and attacks from ritualists.
These people don’t get any kind of help, they lack all the basic needs of life, food shelter and clothing and most importantly they don’t get to hear the good news. So it is safe to say that these people are deprived both physically and spiritually.
Our regular visit to this camp brought a smile to their faces as we shared the gospel with them and with the help of the holy spirit we were able to lead them to Christ and planted a fellowship among them.
We were also able to donate foodstuff, clothes and medical aids for them through the donations from our members. |
Our visit to the cripple camp:
To the glory of God, our otreach was extended to the cripple community also at oyi, the boundry between Anambra and Enugu state. There we shared the gospel among them and lost souls were lead to Christ through our envangelism. We also share gifts, food items and drugs to them.
Our visit to Anam waterside community:
Anam is a remote town in Anambra East local government area of Anambra State. The town is surrounded by water and for them to transact business they have to cross over the water on a wooden canoe to dry land where they sell the fishes caught in the same river.
This town was completely submerged by water during the flood disaster that affected almost all state in Nigeria in 2012.
The effect of this natural disaster is still living with the people in this area as thousands of them have been displaced, thir goods destroyed and their houses are yet to be reconstructed.
The only religion these people exposed to is idol worshipping, they worship water goddess, and trees which explain why they still remain in the dark. The good news is yet to be heard in this community.
Soul liberation outreach visited this community to extend the love of Christ to them. We were able to share gifts and relief materials among them and most importantly, introduce Christ to them. To the glory of God, some of them accepted Christ and promised not to go back to idol worshipping.
We have also been monitoring their growth in christ by going evangelism in the community regularly.
We are depending on God and to his children to supply more copies of the Holy bible, gift items and other materials they need to grow in their new found faith. Our activities in this community is coptured in the video cd attached to this write up.
Our visit to mmiata farm settlement:
Mmiata community is a farm settlement also in anambra west local government of Anambra State. Like the anam community, mmiata was also affected by the flood and the government have completely aboandoned them. These people live from hand to mouth, poverty has eaten deep into them and this has taken them far away from God.
It is the command of our Lord Jesus Christ that the poor among us should be taken care of. It is amazing that many children of God have completely forgotten about Charity which is the pure love of Christ.
Charity, the pure love of Christ is the only force which drove the soul liberation outreach to this community to evangelise and liberate these people from the claws of bondage.
We were able to share the word of God with these people and with the help of the holy spirit, their turn out was encouraging. The came out in mass to hear the good news and word of hope.
SAVE OUR SOUL CALL:
In the course of our evangelism and charity work, we discovered that there are lots of people out there that are yet to come to the light of God. Gospel is yet to be taught in several places and millions of people still live in abject poverty while many so called children of God live in aboudance and they are not even looking in the direction of the poor. Until we all learn to do charity, we can not beat our hands on our chest and say we are doing the will of God.
The calling Jesus gave members of soul liberation outreach is to reah out to the poor, the unreached, the sick and to neglected. Provide them with both their physical and spiritual needs, and since 2005 we have been responding to this calling by our activities of visiting rural communities, the less priviledge, the handicapped and those that have been negelected. We have been supplying them with gift items ranging from food stuff, Drugs, cash, clothing,Bible e.t.c.
It is through the gift itmes supplied to them, we get their attention to preach the word of God to them.
We are calling on Children of God, Churches,Charity Organisations and individuals to help us so that we can help these people. We have dedicated members who are willing to do this work but we are running short of cash and materilas to distribute. The donations we are getting from the members of the church is no longer enough as we are having difficulties meeting the needs of the people were are reaching out to in terms of materials.
We are soliciting for donations from well meaning children of God who support this work of God but do not have time, we will do it for you. Donations from other charity organisations, missions and churches of God and individual will go a long way to helping us continue with our charity work and in spreading the gospel and the pure love of Christ to every nooks and cranny of this nation.
